Page 9: Hunting Guide

"Where should I hunt?" and "Why do i recieve nothing from hunts?""
You can hunt in an oasis that is close to you for ease, and you can even hunt in one occupied by you which protects it from other people hunting there too (better odds).
(To ensure an oasis is fresh and un-hunted, first occupy lvl 9 oasis and resign, especially if you plan for long hunts.)
Hunts work like this:
-send troops on a hunt
-wait hours
-harvest the hunt

Are you hunting for money, items, or enhancement stones? This you should choose when deciding where to hunt your troops and for how long.
Your fortune, the amount of troops, the time spent hunting, and the oasis you're hunting on all factor in and determine your hunt results.

 ----------------------------
Looking for e stones?

Basically, whatever amount of troops and time you hunt, the yield you are seeking should be 2,000 worth of gold.  Once your hunts pull this in, you know the time is right for that # of troops. Now with each pull comes a chance of getting e stones in your harvest.
 -----------------------------

Hunts of 2-3 hours are good for getting quick money but hunting 9-12 hours is best when hunting for other types of items.  You can send large numbers of cav or inf to hunt alone. 5000 - 10000 will give you some nice hunt returns.

Remember that there is a huge random factor, but the right # of troops on the right type of oasis increases your odds for a certain type of treasure.

An oasis becomes FRESH (unhunted) when it becomes occupied.. therefore just resigning instantly gives you a fresh oasis.  Or occupy it then hunt there.

Bottom line, if you want great hunt, use large horde of inf, but if you want to have decent hunt and able to use against other players, then cavs will be a better choice.  Unless you are able to have a hunting town only with inf to hunt and not use as your army.

PLEASE NOTE! If you leave your troops out to hunt for 10 days they will return home after the hunt on their own!

 -----------------------------

- You can mix troops in the same hunt, and it will not impact the gold harvest negatively, so e.g. cats don't slow cav down.
- The time to gather 2.5; gold increases linearly up to that amount. Then it starts dropping exponentially with increased hunting time until 12 hours.
- You gather gold from 0 to 43,200 seconds (equal to 12 hours). Regardless of how long you leave your troops hunting beyond 12 hours, you will not earn extra gold (however this still leaves extraordinary results unchanged).
- Troops use their base speed in gathering gold. No effect from speed attribute/items/enhancements was found by the tester.

 -----------------------------

Wood oasis, good to hunt with all kinds of troops

Crop oasis - estones, use 4k plus cav or archer or mix, hunts 1-45 hours can give stones as well as gold and silver boxes, and large sums of money. Best for fortune to be 50 or higher but will give better hunts with just cavs and/or archers.

Stone oasis - inf is what works here, not much else. Best results - 10k plus can get estones regularly with high fortune

Iron oasis - seems to yield a lot of boxes.

Fortune for good hunts should be 50+ to be really effective. Never use the same oasis twice in a row for hunts. Oasis level only seems to play in size of what you get and not as much as what you get.

 --------------------------------------------------------------
On hunts, send as many troops as possible as your reward will be higher. Hunt for 8-12 hours for an optimal hunt. Try to rotate where you hunt because if a spot was hunted recently, the hunt may have a higher chance to fail and you won't receive anything.
The hunt and harvest strategy may change, but these rules are always consistent:
  • The more troops you send to hunt and the faster the troops march, the better harvest you may get.
  • Theoretically, the longer you troops hunt, the better harvest you may get. If the troops hunt for over 8  hours, you may get extraordinary harvest.
  • The higher fortune points you have, the better harvest you may get.
  • If you hunt in an oasis which has just been hunted by another player, the possibility of harvest may be low. If you happen to hunt in an oasis which is untouched for long, the possibility of harvest may be high.
  • For every $50 you make from a hunt, you get one prestige.
The prestige is about .02% the value of what you recieve from your hunt, so 10,000 gold would give you about 200 prestige.

Hunting guide
How long and what troops you need to send to get these goodies.
Don't expect big results from a hunt until you're able to send in enough infantry.

Hunts:
Nugget: 5000 infantry for 90 hours
Gemstone: 10000 infantry for 90 hours
Medallian: 30000 infantry for 90 hours
Scepter: 100000 infantry for 90 hours
Crown: 250000 infantry for 90 hours
Level 15 sword: 50000 infantry for 90 hours
Level 15 armor: 50000 infantry for 90 hours
Level 15 horse: 50000 infantry for 90 hours

------------------------
from a guide online....

Overload is the amount of "stuff" any unit can carry back with them while hunting or farming resources, and for my crop output I dont see any better unit than the infantry, sure the calvary has a higher overload but the calvary cost 4 crop per hour! For that price I can hunt 4 times the infantry.
The best I can tell is that the item you wish to hunt for is what will determine the length of time you should hunt with your party. I was able to pull medals in 8-9 hour hunts with one of my parties. And when I hunted and only returned gold it was 20-25k gold, the npc price for a medal is 20k. with my other party I could get gems in about 6-8 hours, when pulling in gold I'd get appx. 11-15k gold, gems npc price is 12k so what I am inclined to say is that if you're looking for a gem by hunt you should build a hunting party that can pull average of 12-13k in an allotted time then focus on hunting them for that time

LUCK!!!!!
luck has a lot to do with what you'll recieve from hunt, as far as I can tell the lvl of the oasis and type of oasis doesn't matter but I always try to hunt lvl 6 and up oasis. I think fortune is suppose to have a play in there too but I cant confirm that fortune has anything to do with it.

Quick cash
Split hunts for short times.
If you're just looking to build cash up fast I recieved greater cash hunts in 2-3 hours with my parties split up than I did hunting all togather, example. 125k for 8-9 hours would get 20-25k gold but split up into 4 hunting parties of 31k appx. In 3-4 hours I could pull all 4 hunts nag get about 4-6k per hunt. So about the same 20-25k gold could be made in half the time.

Advanced Hunting Secret- How To Get A Better Hunt:
The money you get from a hunt is
(cav no. x 300,  inf no. x 150, x archer no. x 125, cat no. x 50) x total seconds hunted / oasis value
Oasis lvl    Value
0                 400, 000
1                 388, 888
2                 366, 666
3                 344, 444
4                 322, 222
5                 300, 000
6                 288, 888
7                 266, 666
8                 244, 444
9                 222, 222
This equation only works if your hunt is determine as successful by system. There is a limit of the equation: the maximum value must not greater than troop no. x troop speed/30
Fortune gives the power to convert money into treasure and unrelated to the money you get. The treasure you get is approximately the max. Price of the hunt. So if you want to hunt a nugget you need 50,000 in the equation and some luck to convert it to a nugget but not a lv5 ring. Any output over 25,000 will be automatically converted to a treasure so you can never hunt more than 25,000 money. I cannot ensure it is 100% correct but hope it helps. Now remember before asking me try the math, basically you can get a nugget with about 20,000 inf. Just work on it

Hunting timing

Everything on this game is about time!!! So when you hunt try and hunt to the exact time!!!!   8hours for short hunts16 hours 24 hours 48 hours 60 hours and 90 hours! Pull troops on the hour no earlier no later!!! Or you will waste your reward.

Hunting guide for treasure

Ok here it is. This info was from support - Thank you ;D
---
5,000 infantry + 90 hours = nugget
10,000 infantry + 90 hours = gemstone
30,000 infantry + 90 hours = medal
100,000 infantry + 90 hours = scepter or level 15 manuel
250,000 infantry + 90 hours = crown

50,000 infantry + 90 hours = level 15 horse, level 15 armor, or level 15 sword
20,000 infantry + 60 hours = level 10 ring

125,000 infantry + 90 hours = level 10 chest or level 10 key

Must be hunted in level 9 wood oasis which has not been recently hunted in.

Please remember that fortune also plays a heavy role in hunting.

-----------------
Keep it simple. Just hunt 8 to 12 hrs. with a large volume of troops.
The math from the chart above will help calculate #s needed for the lvl of treasure you are after.

The more troops you send to hunt and the faster the troops march, the better harvest you may get.  Theoretically, the longer your troops hunt, the better harvest you may get.  If the troops hunt for over 8 yours, you may get an extraordinary harvest.  The higher fortune points you have, the better harvest you may get.

Speed times number of troops divided by 30.

The higher the total speed of all troops, fortune, total carry capacity, higher time hunting, longer the time since last time oasis was hunted in, and the more troops hunting...the better your hunt. Hunts over 8 hrs bring a chance for an extraordinary hunt depending on the above stated.

-------------------

Hunting tips for getting enhancement stones:

mostly inf, 3 groups of 6-8 k inf in a city for a minimum of 2 hours a time.

never use the same oasis within a day if possible

Higher fortune skill will help convert the money into stones

1200 cavs with max speed and 20+10 fortune for 4-8 hours.

4500 inf for 2 hours

3k archers for 3-4 hours, but not longer

1 pp per every 25 gold hunted.
