This is a more advanced strategy, known as blocking or meat shielding. Basically you bring several troop types you don't use as kamikaze units.
Here's how it goes. As enemy approaches, let's say inf in this instance, you use your kamikazes to slow their forward movement. Your cats are sitting way back on the field and the inf are getting closer and closer. You can't kill them all in time before they are too close so you use your blockers to hold them for another round. If I'm using inf and cats to farm forts then I would bring 1 cav and 1 arc. On round 8 or 9 when the enemy is super close, advance just the cav. They run up and halt the inf. If I need 1 more round then I'll advance my 1 arc. If all else fails I would have two options. Call out of the battle or advance my inf. The main goal is to not lose your cats. If I advanced my inf and they lost then I would have no choice but to call out of the battle. Cats in melee combat are pitifully useless and losing them hinders your ability to farm. The technique gives you two more rounds to get through and is very cheap to use. You can practice on low level forts or even oases. It's extremely useful. It can change the tide of battle against players also. Learn this well :)
Good luck team,

Team Attacks
Multi-Starve - multiple players find a target in between them or close to all of them. They rapidly remove the crops fron the enemy. Meanwhile a higher lvl player attacks the starving city. Optimally the player has lvl 10 break cranny and a lot of troops. The player that organized the attack should take the prestige fron the starve or if he cant because of army size then allowing the strongest player involved to obtain it is proper.
Fort removal - a simple technique in which players form against an enemy to remove his forts. Disabling money income and destroyong any established warp points.
Sub capturing - moving a sub to an enemy to strike in an instant and then fleeing.
Psychological attacks - A Psychological attack is just a method of distressing your opponent so much they are prone to blundering. Essentially several people continually attack a target, stealing their resource fields, forts, raiding subs and perhaps attempting to acquire one whilst attacking the main. The sheer number of attacks approaching makes it difficult to react appropriately. Thus forth opening the chance of troops being sent home from starvation or recalled to defend when no defensive action was required. It must be carefully timed and coordinated. About 10 players in on the gig works well or 5 who warp in for faster and more efficient chaos.
Mass assault - any one team can destroy any single player. Take 5 to 10 team members. Steal all subs, remove all forts and resign all oases. The multitude of attacks on a single enemy makes it hard to defend them all. Players panic and they make mistakes. Mistakes usually equal easy prestige. Look into it ;)
Bait and switch - a weak player sends an attack. The enemy reveals their army to defend. A stronger ally warps in. The weaker player calls back his troops and the stronger player assaults the now exposed enemy. Tough to pull off but totally worth it. Another fun tactic.

Warp Attacks
For coin buyers this is very valuable. It's quite easy. Centralize your troops in a single city. A sub city is cheaper coin wise. Find your target and use the move city action to move your city right next to your enemy. Attack your enemy. Finally, return your city to its original location.
Note: All actions must be complete to move a city. Dispatches must be complete. No upgrades can be in progress and no hunts can be out. Also, the city cannot be under attack.

Attack Strategies
Here are a few things you can do. Then we will break into the teamwork elements in the next few letters.
Basic Attack - Hope your army is bigger than your target's and head forth to wage an attack upon them.
Cropping or starvation- locate an enemy that is supported by many crop oases. Capture and resign all of them. Now wait. If and when the enemy finally starves then all hunted troops will return home. Those that didn't starve will be open to attack.
Farming run - simply an attack on any city in hopes of gaining resources. Extra resources convert directly into prestige by means of training, upgrading or making money.
Scout - sending a single cav at an enemy to see if they have traps and turrets and at what level.
Fort robbing - an attempt to obtain a fort occupied by an enemy. Either to goad them into recalling their army or to resign so you can farm it.
Warping or teleport attacks - moving a sub to an enemy to strike in an instant and then fleeing.
Sub captures - attacking an enemy sub repeatedly to capture it (Requires assistance from teammate). This can be used to goad the enemy into exposing their army, for your own personal growth or it can be used in a devious way based on the following info. If any troops exist within the sub upon its capture they are immediately killed. This does not yield prestige but can be used to cut an enemy army down significantly.
Psychological attacks - These attacks have a single purpose. Pester and upset the enemy. Tempting revenge. Constant weak attacks coupled with cropping and fort robbing executed by multiple players on a single enemy several times a day. Tough to achieve but worth it when it happens.
Locking - using a cat from a far away location on an enemy. While a player is locked they can't move that city or transport resources into that city. Locking multiple enemy cities collectively makes it difficult to fees troops. Forcing the player to expose their army or spend money in an attempt to feed. We always hope for the first option but option b ties into a psychological attack so it's really a win/win.
