PVP
So, you need 120 achievement points in order to participate in PVP. How do you check your score?
There are two ways. One, go to Rank. On the Server Achv. button that comes up, look at the bottom. Your score is beside your rank. Like this
Arenwen's achievement ranking: 398 [170]
170 is my actual achievement score.
Go to General; Management; Game Center; Achievement.
Now you can see all the ones you've earned, your score at the top, plus your progress towards some ongoing goals. And, you can look here to see which others you might want to work towards, too.
You don't have to spend a single dollar in order to win at least a crown beside your name! It will only last until the next PVP is over. It can be very time consuming but also fun. One of the achievements is to be in 5 PVPs, too.
If you want to join one, you don't have long to get into the server before it fills up. They only allow a limited number of players to join each round. So when the announcement email comes, you have to be on.
To get into the login, launch the game. Click on My Account. Click on PVP start. If registration is open, you will get in, if your achievement score is high enough.
If you were already in the game, you may have to (on iPhone) close the app, double-tap the home button, then minus it off the running-applications bar at the bottom. Then launch the app again to get the logon options.

Sneaky tips for easy prestige
“The stealth bomber”
Don’t capture level 9 crop oasis that are very near to your town. Instead, scout them and keep the report. Wait a while and look at them again later. Once someone captures them, hopefully they will forget troops. Keep an eye on the spots and sooner or later this will give you some easy kills.
“Obvious food means obvious troops!”
Also remember, if folks have crop oasis, it means they’re active and have army. So notice who has crop oasis near you and scout their towns. Keep an eye on them. Eventually hopefully you can catch their troops out and have a good battle.

D) (public copy)
I can't really give you a guide on how to be a "pro" player. It's a thing that requires building your way up to it. Everything you learn along the way is what creates a pro. But I can tell you a few things to start paying attention to, to help you get there.
TROOP MOVEMENT
Understand what happens with the troops on the battlefield.
(I can't post this section outside the alliance because I didn't write it! Just remember that troops and players move according to their speed: Cavs, then inf, then arch, then cats.
Please continue below:)
DAMAGE
What determines damage done to your opponent by your troops?
Speed - the order of who hits what first, (190 is max possible)
Attack,
Lucky doubles.
--------------When sizing up the fight, you must consider both the length of the fighting field, and the shooting/attacking range of your fighters versus theirs... not to mention any turrets a defender may have, if you're the attacker. So you'll want to know some facts before diving in head first!
So much on this game is based off who gets 1st strike. The determining values for this are:
Range - Speed - Defender Advantage
If you out range your opponent you get 1st strike
If you have more speed and the same range you get 1st strike
If you and your opponent have same range and speed the defender gets 1st strike
But how can you tell what your opponents range is?

FIELD RANGE
The field length is determined by range. Add 300 to whatever unit has the longest range (normally cats but can be turrets or archers also), and that is the field length. So, for an easy formula:
battlefield length = unit with the highest range on the field + 300
After a battle is initiated, you can click on any one of your troop types to see the effective field length.
People use battlefield length to determine how far they can move before being hit. Then they calculate their own range, and speed. So if your speed is 149, you can move 2 times before being hit (because there is a distance of 300 before coming into range.) After that, range plays a big part in who loses the most.
Use this example.
A catapult's range is only 800 in the fight. Add the additional 300 points to calculate the field length. So here, the field length is 1100.
so if your turrets are 1350 range.... then the turrets still have the farther range. So once you move your cats, the turrets have you before you have them.
Now, you know how to calculate your range.
SHOOTING RANGE
To determine shooting distance, take the distance of the field then subtract 300. Level ten tech shooting with catapults will give you a 1260 field length, -300 means the cats can shoot 960, and lvl 10 turrets can shoot 1050.
1360 is the max field length, and only happens when level 10 turrets are present. 1260 is the field length when max tech cats have the longest range on the field.
Now use these tables to guide you.
Catapults:
Shooting range Level
1100 0
1116 1
1132 2
1148 3
1164 4
1180 5
1196 6
1212 7
1228 8
1244 9
1260 10
Turrets:
1300 Lvl 9 turrets
1350 Lvl 10 turrets
Crashing
Need some tips to help keep your game from crashing? Here are a few.
First, be sure to reboot your phone once in a while. Once a week at least. Just like your computer.
Next, it's always best if you keep it synched regularly and keep your firmware up to date. Some of us like me have an older phone and don't want iOS5 yet, but I may try it soon to let you know how it goes.
Keep your software up to date. Check the iTunes store periodically and keep your Haypi Kingdom app updates downloaded. Bug repairs are released from time to time.
Also, if you are using iOS4 or higher, and especially if you're on an older phone, you should try not to let too many apps run in the background. They eat up RAM memory that Haypi could be using instead! Without free RAM, it will crash when it gets too clogged up. So double tap home and then hit the minus to shut down things you're not using any longer to free up phone memory.
Last but not least, close down Haypi and release it from memory just like the above every once in a while. It will prevent untimely crashes. Do it yourself when the time is good, lol.
From support about hunts
The hunt and harvest strategy may alter as we're always working to improve the algorithm. But these rules are always consistent:
The more troops you send to hunt and the faster the troops march, the better harvest you may get.
Theoretically, the longer you troops hunt, the better harvest you may get. If the troops hunt for over 8 hours, you may get extraordinary harvest.
The higher fortune points you have, the better harvest you may get.
If you hunt in an oasis which has just been hunted by another player, the possibility of harvest may be low. If you happen to hunt in an oasis which is untouched for long, the possibility of harvest may be high.
