Max speed and marching with max equips increase cavalry speed to 825.

What's the best way to use a Cav army?

Against un-commanded fights like forts or oasis, just let them go uncommanded.
Against a commanded fight, the only way around max shooting cats is max speed.  Equipment and enhancements to get you to 960.

Don't let the cats advance too far.  You can't hit them as they retreat.  If the enemy holds his cats on the first round, go at them right away.

Cavs have the same range as cats if you have max speed, tech, and max enhance on a level 15 horse and manual. 

Hold cavs until the 3rd round versus advancing cats and the cav will hit with 0 loss. 

Cats' max range is 960, same as cavs' max speed.

How many cav for a fort?

Start with cav equal to the # of inf in the fort.

As you move up it's somewhere between 3/4 and 2/3

Try hitting a fort level 4 with 10k for only 19 loss...

And so on.
Each inf has 225 life.
Each cav has 175 attack.

.85 of a cav can kill 1 archer.
857.14 cav can kill 1000 archers.
4285.71 cav can kill 5000 archers.
8571.42 cav can kill 10000 archers.

And so on.
Each archer has 150 life.
Each cav has 175 attack.

Since we are doing good in the war and some members finding out the benefits of cav army\'s already, it was time for me to send you your best mail ever :D

Let me start with telling that cavs can do it all, they are fast, they are str...ong and they can even take lvl 9 oasis and forts without the need to send in rangetroops.

Alright, here is a basic start to train a cav army. Many people want to starve you these days, but not with your brand new cav army, the point is, cavs are way faster then cats, so if you want to be unstarvable, you need to take lvl 9 crops oasis at minimum 15 mins from your city in every direction. Per oasis, it costs cats 30-45 mins to get there. What a waste of time! Now, if you do it with cavs only, you can do the same distance in 5 mins. So the cavs take your oasis, in about 8 times less time then cats do it.

Keep in mind that taking something with cavs always give a real minor loss of cavs, but simply train more after that to gain some more pp :)
