Never talk about your army size, in exacts, in chat. In any chat. Spies and enemies lurk all over and it could lead to your downfall if an enemy knows how much troops you have, and where. Once you become a sizeable target, you should protect this info, even among friends. What if someone leaves later who knows? Anything is possible. I'm not saying don't trust ANYone, but just be careful. It's also not much of a threat to discuss before you reach this phase because it's hard for team members to help advise if they don't know what you're working with. But by now it's worth a lot more, prestige-wise, and should be protected more.
By now you should probably have extra money coming in to spend on secondary techs. Don't worry about upgrading TRAPS too far, but do work on getting TURRETS to 10 for great defense. Any enemy troops you can take out adds to prestige exchange (if you get attacked and your turrets took some of their troops, then you lose less prestige. Or turrets kill more of their army if you're defending.)
PLANTING you should have now too to help support your growing army. You should not ever have to finish wood, digging, or smelting because you can farm faster than resources generate so save your money for more treasures or alliance donations.
At this phase in your game, you can easily farm forts and inactive towns to train more troops and send donations to the alliance. You can make money from selling any surplus supplies, and you also should make some additional funds from your forts. This will help you buy treasures for leveling up; they become increasingly more expensive so saving up what you can is always wise.
You may decide not to rely on all cavs forever, if you tried that route. At this stage, it's time to start diversifying your army. It becomes harder to manage a larger army so it's time to employ some strategy and tricks.
First, you should make sure you can collect all your army together quickly for attacks in case of need. So having a way to pull troops from all towns and get them together is crucial. This lets you keep many troops yet not have them all at one town, causing too much crop consumption.
When your towns are set up right, you can dispatch a group of troops around from town to town to farm and fill your warehouses easily. With the right fort warp loop created, you can rapidly transfer the troops between distant towns and complete the process in little time, if they're too far to dispatch quickly. When it's time to attack you need troops to be fast to gather so fort warp loops are invaluable.
For people who use coins to warp, there are even more great strategies to use. I will lay out a suggestion plan for this: Only one town is used to warp and attack from. You don't train troops here because pending builds can prevent warp. You keep a fort by this town to dispatch troops into and call home at another city for distribution at night.
Just try it out and see what works best for you. You may wish to make it more elaborate or keep it simple.
Players under your level gain more prestige for each one of your troops that they kill, than you do for their troops that you kill. So this can quickly end your prestige gain off your kill of them.

FINDING PRESTIGE
Never forget to scan oasis for forgotten troops when you're out to hunt for prestige. The higher your level gets, the harder it becomes to gain prestige from towns of players below your level who have defenses. Oasis have no defense wall.
Regardless of player's scout level, the oasis scan will look like an empty town that has no troops
Inf: Several of
Cav: Several of
Arc: Several of

Cat: Several of
Maybe you will get lucky and find some other amount, though.
Remember -- Obvious Food = Obvious Troops! If a player has oasis around, it means they're active. If they're active, they're building troops. You might find finished builds or better from keeping an eye on these players...

That's why the cav-only army becomes harder to use for gaining pp at this stage and a more diverse army that can become more valuable. Then you can command differently and block enemy troops in more strategic ways to increase your gain by reducing your loss. Remember that inf are the cheapest at only 1 pp per loss; save some to sacrifice to traps. A single cav or other troop type can rush forward to block their line, giving you extra time for ranged troops to shoot before they advance on you.
By now your hunts should become better as well, which also helps you gain prestige. For every $50 you make from a hunt, you get one prestige (so 10,000 gold would give you about 200 prestige).
