I thought I would send out this guide about oasis and the conflicts that can happen when capturing them. Because today's servers are a lot more crowded and are busier, this happens far more often than it used to.
If you begin to capture an empty oasis, but someone else was heading for it before you, your attack timer may be delayed. But you otherwise see no sign of attack: it shows up as a normal attack. Now, if their attack finishes while you're still en route, the attack destination changes. Now it shows you're attacking someone! Oh no! But don't fret. Haypi made an update that will cause your troops to return home, and the other person will never see your incoming attack towards what's now their oasis.
There is really no way to prevent this from happening, but this change they made really helps. The only suggestion I can make if this happens to you a lot is try for oasis in a different area. If you can't or don't want to move your city, you could move your troops to a different sub and put the oasis from it. Or you could just use 3-4k cavs and go find your oasis 15-30 minutes away from your city to try for better luck.

Crashing
Need some tips to help keep your game from crashing? Here are a few.
First, be sure to reboot your phone once in a while. Once a week at least. Just like your computer.
Next, it's always best if you keep it synched regularly and keep your firmware up to date. Some of us like me have an older phone and don't want iOS5 yet, but I may try it soon to let you know how it goes.
Keep your software up to date. Check the iTunes store periodically and keep your Haypi Kingdom app updates downloaded. Bug repairs are released from time to time.
Also, if you are using iOS4 or higher, and especially if you're on an older phone, you should try not to let too many apps run in the background. They eat up RAM memory that Haypi could be using instead! Without free RAM, it will crash when it gets too clogged up. So double tap home and then hit the minus to shut down things you're not using any longer to free up phone memory.
Last but not least, close down Haypi and release it from memory just like the above every once in a while. It will prevent untimely crashes. Do it yourself when the time is good, lol.
From support about hunts
The hunt and harvest strategy may alter as we're always working to improve the algorithm. But these rules are always consistent:
The more troops you send to hunt and the faster the troops march, the better harvest you may get.
Theoretically, the longer you troops hunt, the better harvest you may get. If the troops hunt for over 8 hours, you may get extraordinary harvest.
The higher fortune points you have, the better harvest you may get.
If you hunt in an oasis which has just been hunted by another player, the possibility of harvest may be low. If you happen to hunt in an oasis which is untouched for long, the possibility of harvest may be high.

Fort Warp / Fast Dispatch
This takes a bit of work to set up but it\'s totally worth it. Especially with larger armies. The mechanic here is based on returning from any owned location. If city A captures a location next to city B. Any troops dispatched to that locat...ion from city B will immediately return to City A on a return request. If your cities are an hour away by inf then it\'s about 3 hours by cat. Cav can make the trip in 20 minutes. Quickly capturing an oasis can make things super easy. For a more permanent solution, this can be done with forts. Using this is totally up to you. It\'s very valuable and many experienced players use it. So I figured I would put it out there for you guys. As usual, any questions then just send a letter
Good luck team,
Kad
Alright everyone the way a fort portal works is by taking a fort with one of your cities. When you put troops in that fort by any of the other cities you have, then call them back. They will always go back to the city th...at took the fort. Example: my city Daniel takes a fort. I warp Daniel to the other side of the map. Daniel needs more troops in it after a battle I just fought. So with my other 3 cities I put troops in the fort that Daniel took. I go to the fort and push call back tab. All those troops go straight to Daniel with no traveling time. It works only 1 way, so it's better to take forts with the city that holds your fighting force. This way it's easier to reinforce when need be.
Subs
Most important thing, your subs must be away from your main. When people scout, they can only scout your main. Second most important, go max your scout. If people can’t see your crop level, it is harder for them to starve you. Someone who attacks you will usually only be using 1 of their cities to warp it for attacking you. – Only one city to be commanding from.
The other cities might then all be a few minutes away from each other, and preferably beside some nice high level forts you can farm. Use 5 cities for building troops. Placing those cities beside forts will save you much time in getting full resources for all cities. That way you can keep the cities constantly building cats and cavs.
Honor points
What are Honor Points for?
What are these colored medals beside people's names?
First, it's still bugged until they release a game patch that fixes it, but for now they come up at random. When it works right, this is how it goes:
- Insignia Medals are the 1-5 image that display beside your name and will stay there always.
- To earn medals, donate to the alliance, while we have a mine.
The amount of honor you earn per donation depends on the level of mine we currently occupy, and your ranking in contribution within the alliance.
- View your honor points under General. Don't confuse this with contribution points which are viewed under Alliance.
- For a level 1 medal, you need 15,000 honor points
- For a level 2 medal, you need 55,000 honor points.
- For a level 3 medal, you need 160,000 honor points.
- For a level 4 medal, you need ? honor points.
- For a level 5 medal, you need ? honor points.
Enhancements
After you get level 15 equipment,
Before you spend your precious enhancement stones on anything else, enhance your horse and manual first to 20.
When people with top speed hit you, they will always get the first hit anyway, which means your attack and defense are useless. They will get to your army first with their intense speed! So there is no point in focusing first on your sword or armor.
How To Prevent iPhone From Crashing
How To Prevent iPhone From Crashing
It's really bad when your app crashes at the worst moment - usually when battle starts. Here are some things you can do to help prevent it:
- Make sure your game application has downloaded the latest version from the iTunes store.
- Make sure you have synched your iPhone to iTunes recently at your computer. This removes old crash logs from the phone which can clog it up, slowing things down.
- Make sure you have rebooted your phone fairly recently. At least once a week it should be turned off/on.
- Close and re-open the app every 30 minutes or so. This frees up memory. It crashes when memory gets too full.
- Also make sure you close and re-open the app before going into battle. This can help prevent a crash at the wrong time!
