Page 1: Start Building

Everyone has to start somewhere at building up towns, and everyone has to start an army over sometimes.  So we all need resources.  Sometimes we have surplus, and sometimes we need goods fast.  Keep your team in mind if you have extra resources and there's no room to donate -- ask around, maybe someone could use a deal.
And if you're in need, come to AC and ask your team fist before wasting money at the market. :)

RESOURCES

You gain them by upgrading your cities, claiming oasis, and from farming them.  You farm them from either inactive players (preferably not active.... lol) or from forts.   Refer to individual pages for Oasis and Forts for more details.

BUYING RESOURCES
Sometimes you can find 0.01 goods others are selling if you refresh the market a lot. If not you can ask your alliance to help you out. When they are ready to sell you something and tell you to GO, head to the market quickly and refresh the icon for it by clicking on it (like iron or wood) repeatedly until you see the lowest price.  Buy fast, as others are out there looking too!  Check your trade report email to be sure you got it.
If you're going to sell stuff to your team mate, tell them when to go.  Give them just a sec to get there before you list the item.

SUB CITIES
When you're ready for an additional city branch, you could take someone else's sub instead of starting over from scratch. But you'll need help. Usually you will take a sub from someone who appears inactive, unless the alliance is at war.
You can tell if it's their sub because it has an orange flag in the bottom right corner on its icon on your map. You can't take someone else's main city.

To take a city, you have to reduce its loyalty to 0. Ten attacks all within 1 hour. You can only attack a player city (oasis or forts don't count) 5 times in a day. So you will need someone else to attack it 5 times plus your five. Make sure yours is the last and make sure you have an available slot and you will take over ownership including all its upgrades.
Or, you can wait until the new Haypi day starts.  Hit 5 times before, and 5 times after, to get the city yourself. But a team member will always be happy to help with this if you just ask in AC.

If you're not sure the town is inactive, or if you just want to, you can use coins to move the city after taking it. (Warp it to another location)

Another note on sub cities. Place them in a well guarded location. Make sure it's surrounded by other occupied squares. This makes it harder to be warp attacked. Plan wisely. You could even warp a sub to such a location if you have an exposed side and want better protection.

And a side note on the attacks you'll be launching towards the city.  You can stack attacks if they are over 10 minutes to your destination in order to shorten the time.  This means sending 2 separate attacks to the location at the same time.
Let's say attack 1 takes 12 minutes.  You can send a 2nd attack right away and it will only add 10 minutes. They will stack up to 27 minutes.
This is not beneficial for attacks only 2 minutes away (would take 10 instead of just waiting 2 minutes to send the next).

BUILDING CITIES:

Always max your warehouse and main first.

TECHS:

Max out speed first! Don't bother with stone digging unless you have lots of cash. Stone will become the most non-valuable resource.
Scouting is also very important. Not only is it good offense, but it is excellent defense. If someone's scouting is lower than yours, they can't scout you.

YOUR GENERAL:

Max speed! (when attacking somebody with lesser speed, you will own them. However: speed is useless while a troop is paused)

If Cav army: add points to defense

If Cats army: add points to attack

Fortune is good for sweet hunts and lucky double attacks for arch and cat.

In a battle highest speed gets first strike.
If both speeds are equal, then the player advancing gets first strike.
If speed is equal and both players are advancing, then defender gets first strike.

The first bit doesn't apply to mines, by the way, but as a whole this is important info that all players should know.
